1. Do you offer PARTIAL YEAR/RECREATIONAL programs?
Yes! We have partial year programs that run from Sept-Dec and Jan-June. Select classes (Sept-Dec) will perform in the Christmas show and the Year End June Showcase (Jan-June) In addition to tuition, there is a registration fee of $62+GST. For the Jan-June session, in addition to the Registration fee, there is also a costume and production fee. The partial year option is great if you’re looking for a fun activity with minimal commitment.
2. What is the commitment for FULL YEAR programs?
Full year programs run from Sept-June. Tuition is paid in 10 monthly installments and based on a minimum of 31 weeks. All of the classes participate in the Christmas Show, Dress Rehearsal for Festivals, Photoshoot, Festivals and Year End Showcase. In addition to tuition there are costume fees, a registration fee, production fee and festival fees.
3. What do students wear to class and where can I purchase it?
All students are required to follow our dress code. Our FULL YEAR programs are required to purchase the Drea Lee Leotard appropriate for their level (with the exception of hip hop classes). “And All That Jazz” located in Sherwood Park has all the other dance gear required for our classes. Please visit the dress code tab to know what to get your child for dance class.
4. Why are parents not allowed to watch classes?
It’s important for every student to get the most out of their dance classes. Having parents watch the class effects students in different ways. We want to provide a safe and encouraging environment for the students with the least amount of distractions. Parents are welcome to observe class during our watching weeks and watch the last few minutes of class at the end of each month.
5. Do students participate in any extra performances or festivals/competitions?
Partial Year Programs/Recreational Classes – Sept-Dec Sessions perform in our Christmas Show. Jan-June sessions perform in the June Year End Showcase.
Full Year Programs – the Christmas Show(November), Dress Rehearsal(March), 1-3 festivals (March/April/May), and the June Year End Showcase

8. What is the best way to stay informed?
– Check your email regularly. We send out reminder emails using our online software.
– Our parent handbook has important date reminders. This will be located in your parent portal.

9. How do I check the progress of my child?
We send out progress reports for our Full Year Programs. You are welcome to ask the instructor how they are doing in class as well!
10. How old does my dancer need to be?
Parent + Tot classes are age 6 months – 3 years old. Unparented classes start at Age 3. Dancers must be potty trained to register in unparented classes.
11. Can my child try a class?
Absolutely! If you are new to the studio, please email us at hello@drealee.com to set up a trial class.
12. Do you have a competitive program?
Yes! Our competitive program launches for the 2026/27 season.
